Budweiser, the world’s largest brewing company, has announced the promotion of Lois Wan to the role of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Communications Manager for its Asia-Pacific (APAC) office, based in Hong Kong. In her new role, Wan will spearhead the company’s ESG initiatives and oversee strategic communications throughout the APAC region, a vital market for the global beer leader.
Wan has been instrumental in Budweiser’s brand and trade marketing efforts since joining the company in 2020. Her successful campaigns have bolstered Budweiser’s market presence, particularly through innovative digital strategies and sustainability-focused marketing aimed at younger consumers.
With over a decade of experience in marketing and branding, Wan’s expertise includes significant roles at Magnetic Asia, where she contributed to the success of Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s premier music and arts festival. Her prior experience also includes key positions with brands like Revlon and Carlsberg, where she refined her skills in brand management and strategic marketing.
Her appointment aligns with the beverage industry’s growing focus on sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Budweiser, part of AB InBev, has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040 and ensuring that 100% of its purchased electricity comes from renewable sources by 2025. Wan is expected to advance these ESG goals within the APAC region.
As ESG and Communications Manager, Wan will drive Budweiser’s sustainability agenda, foster community engagement, and enhance the company’s corporate reputation. She will also collaborate with stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability in Budweiser’s APAC operations.
