The country’s best in business communication gathered at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort on August 27, 2026, as the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines handed out the 22nd Philippine Quill Awards, alongside the 12th Philippine Student Quill Awards. The night celebrated the strategy, creativity, and measurable impact behind some of the country’s most talked-about communication campaigns of the past year.
PLDT-Smart Named Company Of The Year
Telco giant PLDT and its wireless arm Smart Communications walked away with the evening’s top institutional honor, Company of the Year, on the strength of 21 wins across categories ranging from digital inclusion and online safety to entrepreneurship support and innovation storytelling. It’s a recognition that underscores the company’s continued investment in communication as a driver of nation-building, not just brand visibility.
Advocacy Partners Asia earned 15 awards and was named 1st Runner-Up for Company of the Year, bringing its total recognitions for the night to 16 awards.

PAGEONE Claims Agency Of The Year — Five Years Running
On the agency side, PAGEONE was named Agency of the Year for an unprecedented fifth consecutive year, taking home 39 trophies in total. The agency also swept two of the night’s most prestigious honors, the Top Division Awards for both Communication Management and Communication Research.
For an agency to hold the title five years straight speaks to more than a single standout campaign, it points to a sustained system for producing strategically sound, well-executed work year after year.

The Top Division Awards: Best Of The Best
Beyond the institutional titles, IABC Philippines recognized four campaigns as the single best entries in their respective disciplines:
Communication Management “PINAG-UUSAPAN: Earning National Media Coverage and Third-Party Credibility for Filipino Cuisine” By PAGEONE, Advocacy Partners Asia, and simpol.ph. A campaign that used earned media and third-party validation to put Filipino cuisine at the center of the national conversation.
Communication Research “The Infrastructure of Legitimacy: A Definitive National Study Reframing Reputation as Measurable Capital” by PAGEONE and Advocacy Partners Asia. A study that reframes corporate reputation as a quantifiable business asset rather than a soft, intangible concept.
Communication Training and Education InLife University — recognized for its approach to building organizational capability through structured learning and development.

Strong Showings Across Industries
The Quill Awards this year drew wins from a wide cross-section of Philippine industry:
- Jollibee picked up 8 honors — 2 Awards of Excellence and 6 Awards of Merit — for campaigns spanning Marketing, Advertising and Brand Communication; Special and Experiential Events; and Digital Communication.
- ID8 Inc. brought home 6 trophies for client work with Max’s Restaurant, AstraZeneca Philippines, and Maynilad Water Services, along with recognition in brand communication, healthcare advocacy, and community engagement.

- Aboitiz Construction earned an Award of Excellence in Safety Communication for its SHES (“Safety, Health, Environment, and Security”) Month 2025 campaign, rolled out across 22 project sites nationwide.
Building The Next Generation: The Student Quill Awards
Held alongside the professional awards, the 12th Philippine Student Quill Awards spotlighted emerging communicators still in school:
- De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde was named 2026 School of the Year, recognized for its role in developing the country’s next wave of communication talent.
- The Top Student Quill Award went to “Sining sa Lansangan” by the University of Santo Tomas – Angelicum College, a documentary celebrating jeepney artists and the jeepney’s place as a moving canvas of Filipino identity.
- The Top Division Award for Sustainability Communications and Breakthroughs and Innovations went to “ST:AIN,” an interactive, game-based tool for youth solid waste management awareness, developed by CIIT College of Arts and Technology.

What The Wins Say About The Industry
Speaking at the event, IABC Philippines president Richard Arboleda framed the wins as evidence of a maturing profession: communication, he said, is increasingly expected to help organizations navigate trust, reputation, and behavior, not just messaging.
Quill Awards Chair Marzie Marzan echoed the sentiment, noting that the strongest entries this year were the ones that gave Filipino stories of identity, values, and community, the power to be heard and remembered.
Taken together, this year’s Quill Awards paint a picture of an industry raising its own bar — where communication is no longer judged solely on creativity, but on its ability to build trust, shift behavior, and deliver measurable results for the organizations and communities it serves. From PAGEONE’s five-year reign to the fresh voices recognized at the Student Quill Awards, the 22nd Philippine Quill Awards made one thing clear: the future of Philippine communication is being written by people who understand that a well-told story is only as powerful as the change it creates.
