Xero, a global accounting software for small businesses, has promoted Jessica Brophy as Director of Communications for Australia and New Zealand. Brophy steps into this role after more than five years with the company, during which she has made significant contributions to Xero’s communications strategy.

In her new position, Brophy will oversee Xero’s communications efforts across Australia and New Zealand, driving initiatives that enhance the company’s brand presence and engagement with small business communities in the region. This appointment comes as Xero continues to expand its offerings, recently launching a new suite of subscription plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of small businesses.

Brophy’s promotion reflects her extensive experience and leadership within Xero, where she most recently served as Head of Communications for Australia. Before joining Xero, Brophy held key roles at several prominent PR agencies, including Six O’Clock Advisory, Truth Agency, icon.pr, and Mango Communications. Her background in agency-side roles has equipped her with a broad skill set in strategic communications, media relations, and brand management.

In conjunction with Brophy’s new role, Xero has also introduced its latest subscription plans, which went live in July this year. These plans—Xero Ignite, Xero Grow, Xero Comprehensive, and an enhanced Xero Ultimate plan—are designed to simplify accounting and payroll processes for small businesses, offering tailored solutions that support their growth and operational efficiency.
