The South China Morning Post (SCMP) has appointed Betty Wong as its new Corporate Communications Director, entrusting her with the responsibility of shaping the news organization’s brand reputation and driving its strategic communications efforts.
Bringing with her more than two decades of experience, Betty has led communications and strategic projects for a diverse array of local and global organizations, spanning the finance, technology, and biotechnology sectors. Her professional journey includes a pivotal role at Google, where she led communications initiatives in Hong Kong and later expanded her scope to focus on cybersecurity and privacy communications across the Asia Pacific region. She also previously directed public relations strategy for the CFA Institute in APAC.
In joining SCMP, Betty expressed her enthusiasm about contributing to the company’s continued evolution. She emphasized that SCMP’s 122-year legacy of trust and integrity provides a strong foundation for innovation and future growth—an environment that aligns with her professional aspirations and values.
