Shangri-La Group has announced the appointment of Miranda Shek as Vice President of Corporate Communications. In her new role, Miranda will be based at the group’s headquarters in Hong Kong, where she will oversee and enhance Shangri-La’s communications and external relations strategies.
Shek brings over 16 years of experience in communications and media, having held leadership positions in several prominent companies. Before joining Shangri-La Group, she served as Managing Director of Communications at CBC Group in Shanghai, where she played a significant role in shaping the company’s global communications strategy. Her extensive experience includes senior communications roles at leading technology and e-commerce giants, such as Pinduoduo, Ant Group, and JD.com.
In her new position, Shek will be responsible for steering Shangri-La’s corporate messaging and strengthening the brand’s presence in key markets. Her wealth of knowledge in handling communications for high-profile organizations and listed companies will be invaluable as Shangri-La continues to expand its global footprint and reinforce its reputation as a leader in the hospitality industry.
