The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has announced a strategic partnership with The Global Communications Project (GlobCom), an international initiative involving 16 universities dedicated to advancing public relations education. This collaboration marks a significant step in fostering the next generation of PR professionals and enhancing global communication standards.

The agreement highlights several key initiatives, including the exchange of information and resources, the promotion of ethical practices in public relations, and offering GlobCom students discounted IPRA memberships. This partnership aims to bridge academic learning with professional development, providing students with valuable insights and networking opportunities.

IPRA President Nataša Pavlović Bujas expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “I am thrilled to welcome GlobCom to our IPRA family. Educating the PR practitioners of tomorrow is an essential task. Gathering professionals worldwide not only helps the levelling-up of public relations but also helps mutual understanding and the building of trust,”

Gaelle Picherit-Duthler, the new GlobCom President and Dean of Graduate Studies at Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, echoed the agreement. “By collaborating with IPRA, we aim to enrich our students’ educational experience and promote the highest standards of ethical practice in public relations. This agreement not only expands opportunities for our students but also strengthens the global PR community through shared knowledge and mutual support”.
