The James Beard Leadership Awards form a cornerstone of the Foundation\u2019s Achievement Awards, alongside the Lifetime Achievement and Humanitarian of the Year Awards. Each honoree was previously announced on April 3, 2024, marking their exceptional contributions to sustainable, equitable, and economically viable food systems for producers, workers, and consumers.<\/p>\n
This year’s ceremony, hosted by Karen Washington, Co-Founder of Black Farmer Fund and Black Urban Growers, showcased the impactful achievements of the 2024 Leadership Award recipients. Guests enjoyed a specially curated luncheon prepared by acclaimed chefs Gregory Gourdet, C.J. Jacobson, \u0112ma, and Eric Santoyo.<\/p>\n
