FTI Consulting, a business consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Erik Bainbridge as Director of Strategic Communications, based in Hong Kong. Bainbridge brings a wealth of experience from both the public and private sectors in Greater China and Canada, with a strong focus on geopolitical issues across the Asia-Pacific region.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Bainbridge served at Global Affairs Canada, where he played a key role in the development, launch, and implementation of the country’s 2022 Indo-Pacific Strategy. He also led public and private advocacy efforts on critical foreign policy priorities within the region.

Bainbridge’s expertise spans geopolitical monitoring and analysis, foreign policy, cross-cultural communication, strategic development, and stakeholder engagement. His appointment is expected to strengthen FTI Consulting’s capabilities in navigating complex geopolitical landscapes and enhancing strategic communication efforts for clients in the Asia-Pacific region.
