DP World has launched 51 new freight forwarding offices across Asia Pacific (APAC) to reinforce its position as an end-to-end supply chain solutions provider. This expansion, which focuses on air and ocean freight, leverages DP World’s extensive infrastructure—including ports, terminals, warehouses, and transport options—to streamline business supply chains.

Glen Hilton, CEO & Managing Director, Asia Pacific, DP World, said, “Global trade is in the midst of an unprecedented era of flux in the face of growing geopolitical and economic uncertainty. We have an opportunity to help businesses navigate increasingly complex supply chains, as they seek enhanced market access and streamlined but resilient logistics from factory floor to customer door. With our expanded regional freight forwarding network backed by decades of experience in managing ports and terminals, our customers can count on us to support them in achieving their growth ambitions.”

The expansion enables DP World to offer a comprehensive suite of logistics services including order management, port handling, freight management, customs clearance, and bonded warehousing. Customers benefit from these services through a single digital platform supported by a Global Services Center staffed by over 500 IT specialists, providing real-time tracking and efficient cargo management.

DP World is well-positioned to capitalize on APAC’s growth potential, the largest and fastest-growing market for outsourced logistics, projected to account for 40% of global revenues for contract logistics by 2027. This year, APAC also leads in export and import growth, exceeding 5%.

Recent investments and developments include:

  • A $50 million investment in the DP World Busan Logistics Centre, set to process nearly 80,000 TEUs annually by 2028.
  • The acquisition of Savan Logistics, which operates the Savannakhet dry port in Laos’ first special economic zone.
  • A new daily rail service linking Sydney’s Port Botany to Yennora Intermodal Terminal, offering a cost-effective alternative to trucking and improving connectivity.
